Zhao Jinfeng

Born in Shanxi, China, Zhao Jinfeng graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts in 2008 and currently lives and works in Nanjing. Zhao’s painting practice centers on the **porcelain body** as an evolving visual motif, exploring the shifting boundaries between the human body, plants, animals, and heterogeneous matter. Bringing traditional Eastern visual sensibilities into dialogue with contemporary digital imagery, he works through processes of generation, selection, and painterly translation to construct a visual world suspended between the artificial and the natural, fragility and hardness, individuality and symbiosis.
